Tarlac

Tarlac is situated at the heartland of Luzon’s rich central plain. It is bounded on the north by the province of Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija on the east, on the south by Pampanga and Zambales on the west.

The province is predominantly agriculture. It is considered to be the food bowl of the region. The overall spatial framework for Tarlac is directed towards its development as an “Agro-Industrial cum Tourism Hub of Central Luzon” as envisioned in the Regional Development and Physical Framework Plan for Central Luzon.

Tarlac is also home to big industries involving Filipino and multi-national companies, which are situated in specially developed industrial centers in the province. The recent establishment of the Tarlac Provincial Information Technology Park has signaled the province’s involvement in the IT Industry, specifically in business process outsourcing.

Tarlac lies in the midpoint between Manila and Baguio , making it a favorite stopover of travelers and motorists passing by MacArthur Highway . It is not only known for its delicious food but it also boasts of its high quality and delectable sweets and delicacies and other processed foods.

Natural Tarlac

Natural Tarlac is a branding program meant to promote the organic and natural products of Tarlac. The program was launched on October 22, 2008 and is envisioned to increase the awareness of the public of Tarlac natural products. These products are expected to find their way to the shelves of local supermarkets and major commercial establishments.

Tarlac has a wide variety of One Town, One Product (OTOP) products, which include ylang-ylang essential oils, muscovado sugar, crocheted garments, sweet potato crunchies, corn crunch, okra, processed meat like the famous “burong babi” and “pindang”, chicharon Camiling, tinapa, fresh mango, mango jam, choco-mango, sweets and delicacies, bamboo products, water lily products and home furnishings.
