Zambales

Zambales is located at the Western Coast of Central Luzon Region.  It spans 210 kilometers and is approximately 3 hours drive from Manila .

The province is endowed with a number of resources from mineral deposits, crops and other agricultural and marine products.  The entire length of Zambales is a tourism haven with the presence of islets and bay, white sand beaches and blue deep sea rich with coral reefs.

 Subic Bay Freeport Zone, in the southernmost part of the province provides a  natural deep water harbor and plays host to over 500 local and foreign companies.

Finest Zambales

The “Zambales Finest” Branding Program is adopted as one of the key projects of the province in pushing high quality products.  The brand also serves as the Provincial Seal of Excellence where the integrated development support is extended to all accredited MSMEs in order to realize the program’s objective of enhancing the competitiveness of the MSMEs both in the local and international market.

The MSME Team of the Province composed of National Government Agencies, LGUs and the business sector have converged to support the OTOP Program in the province. The model OTOP of Zambales is the fresh and processed sweet potato of Castillejos.  Other products are fresh and processed mango of Sta. Cruz, Masinloc and Iba, fresh and processed vegetables of San Marcelino, processed food of Candelaria, Olongapo and Subic, pastillas of Palauig, tourism of San Antonio, processed meat of San Felipe and  sugar cane based products of Cabangan and processed food of Botolan.

 Through the program, the various stakeholders have committed to provide the necessary assistance to identified OTOP projects.
